Manager, Global Mobility

Department: Human Resources – Global Mobility

Location: Laval, Quebec

Type: 14 months contract (maternity leave replacement)

THE ROLE 

Reporting to the Head of Human Resources Canada, within our Global Human Resources team, the Manager, Global Mobility will Manage the Global Mobility process, the international assignments, permanent transfers and other international relocations.

WHAT YOU’LL DO 

  • Own the global mobility programs. Close communication and cooperation with Managers, HR, Finance and Legal departments in mobility related items.

  • Manage relationships with third party providers of all mobility activities, e.g. immigration, tax, health insurance, relocation, cultural awareness etc.

  • Owning and operating the global mobility policy, tax policy for the overall global company – end to end responsibility.

  • Provide support to managers for assignment cost projections and letters. Act as the single point of contact for assignees, HR, line managers and Finance departments to support the day-to-day operations and service delivery of mobility services during the full assignment lifecycle.

  • Provide immigration support and manage immigration services provided by external vendor.

  • Assist with year-end tax season, providing the required information to external vendor necessary for tax filings. Coordinate receipt and payment of home and host country taxes.

  • Guide the crossborders compliance process.

  • Find opportunities to simplify and improve Global Mobility process and to optimize processes and costs.

  • Manage the overall cost base for mobility in a cost effective and transparent way.

WHAT YOU’LL NEED 

We want you to join our team! Here’s what we’re looking for: 

  • University Degree or equivalent (preferably in the area of HR or related field)

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience of working in a global mobility function

  • Experience with a multinational organisation

  • Up to date knowledge of immigration requirements and international tax and social security.

  • Strong skills in communication, process development, analysis and problem solving

  • Bilingual (French and English)

  • High level of integrity and professionalism
