Reporting to the CTO, this role drives the tech strategy for the company ensuring that every technology choice we make is a step toward achieving our business goals.  The ideal candidate can assess technology in detail against strategic objectives looking to balance constraints of TCO, integration, the current ecosystem, future needs, agility, etc. and communicate the tradeoffs and tech options in a way decision makers can confidently make choices.  As the leader of Enterprise Architecture, the candidate needs to possess the ability to drive change through a thoughtful, but not overly bureaucrat way through an Architecture Review Board and serve as a key influencer in driving change across the business that supports growth plans.

In addition to leading the Enterprise Architecture function, the role is responsible for driving technology innovation, bringing solutions that allow us to move quickly and leapfrog competitors.  Therefore, the role will lead our Next Generation Retail Platform strategy, design, roadmap and execution. This platform is an industry leading approach that will enable the customer experience through an ecosystem of services, APIs and digital products. The candidate needs to have experience in leading both traditional and Agile / Dev Ops teams as the role includes management and oversight of a global development team.

As a senior leader in the company, the candidate needs to be a good team motivator, effective communicator with strong financial acumen and integrity.
